CYBER CONCEPTSFive years ago, Dr. Edmund Cage, the foremost CYBERNEER and wizard of today's Information Age, created a revolutionary program which turned the net into a standalone universe endowed with a geography, an atmosphere and even inhabitants of its own. Dr. Cage called this universe the INTERVERSE, and its inhabitants ( consisting of everything from elite security programs to abandoned, unwanted programs and even some species of VIRUSIANS who have crossed over to the good guys and now work mostly as consultants and take suicide scout missions as these tend to "CREDIT” well. Try hard as they may to fit in they are outcasts and considered expendable. These true Artificial Intelligence programs have the ability to think and speak for themselves and possess the physical characteristics attributed to humans right down to their personalities. All was right until the sudden and mysterious disappearance of Dr. Cage… Danny Vasquez is Dr. Cage's most promising student intern. It is he, along with Dr. Moss, a brilliant and stunningly beautiful CYBERNEER, who embark on the quest to decipher and bring to fruition the magnum opus of their friend and mentor, Dr. Cage using the various notes and clues left behind by him. Unbeknownst to them, they are not alone in their plight. Vasquez and Moss are aided and protected in their efforts to put right Dr. Cage's masterwork by the GUARDIAN SERIES CYBER PROGRAMS, the true protectors of the Interverse. These Cybers are by definition the mortal enemies of the VIRUSIANS most of whom are corrupted GSPPs under the direction of old "DEV”, who threaten to turn Dr. Cage's dream of an idyllic Interverse into a vast landscape of ruins by causing the collapse of the net. The architect of this nightmarish vision is the billionaire industrialist Kenneth Devereaux, owner of DEVLAB INDUSTRIES, where Dr. Cage was chief Cyberneer and responsible for the creation and development of the most advanced technology of the new millenium. As this attempt at world domination ensues, our only hope between life as we know it and what Devereaux has planned for us is CYBER 755 alias CYBER. Our Cyber adventure spotlights the latest high technology and takes place in both the INTERVERSE and out here in HARDWORLD. It will include a myriad of characters, a CYBERLEXICON, and will even map out the Interverse in order for the viewer/reader to be as informed as possible and be able to use his knowledge to participate in the role-playing CYBERGAME. |
